Whoho! AWESOME Day!
Rented a scooter, I named her Red Rage and went on an adventure round this amazing Island.
Started off scooting away in like 15 km/h. Haven't driven a moped since 2005 or something like that, and was a bit hesitant on how the traffic was going to be. But ut was just so amazing.
The road (yes, there is basically One paved road circling the biggest volcano Concépcion) was really great, bit bumpy from time to time but nothing major. In one place you actually drive over the tarmac of the tiny airport. So if a plane is landing or taking off, they close down the road until the airplane has passed 🤓
Badass driver
So, I just trotted around the Island to Altagracia, then went to the natural springs of Ojo de Agua (the eye of the water) and just zoned out COMPLETELY. Bought myself a coconut, swam in the spring and tanned for a bit.
Had lunch and then started shuffling back home to Moyogalpa. Filled a litre of gas and payed 1USD. worth it. ;)
